Your gluten-free walhalla in Amsterdam

A hot topic these days, check the #glutenfree on instagram. More and more people have a (serious) problem with gluten or are interested to eat less gluten.

So for the ones following or needing a gluten-free diet or if you have a buddy eating this specific way, Amsterdam does not leave you hanging. There is a whole store with 100% glutenfree products called 'De Glutenvrije Winkel'. Owner Nadia is a specialist in this type of nutrition and can answer all your questions and take away any doubts. Good to know too: each last Sunday of the month they organise a brunch together with the Food and Yoga factory (10:00-15:00).

If you are looking for a specialized bakery, 'Bakkerij Met Zonder' is the place to go to. They bake without gluten, without lactose, and without refined sugars, but WITH a lot of taste. And that's not that easy to find, isn't it?

And luckily there are also many restaurants who know exactly what it means to prepare a gluten-free dish. For example wine and dine at Gallizia, try all gluten-free pasta's at Mastino or Spaghetteria or have a surprise menu (3 or 4 courses) at Wilde Zwijnen which you can totaly trust. When you're looking for Thai, hop to the other side of Javaplein and pick from the list of gluten-free dishes at Thai Tiger.

For cozy (gezellige = typical Dutch word) lunch places, we recommend Beter & Leuk and Sugarless.
